Keep reading to see how I made this tail controller mechanism.
I encountered a problem with my dragon pull string. I threaded them through plastic tubing so that I could work the mechanics from a central control panel. To begin with this was fine, but after pulling the strings for a while they broke. So I am going to have to upgrade to bike brake cables.
I've ordered brake cables and am waiting for them to arrive. In the mean time I thought I'd figure out a way of making a neat control device so I am not pulling five different strings to make the dragon puppet move.
The strings I have are:
1 and 2 to make the tail go side to side.
3 and 4 to make the head move side to side.
5 to make the mouth open - the mouth has a spring on it so it springs back to closed position.
