Use the pdf above to print out a pattern, transfer the pattern on to the cardboard. I used thick cardboard so that I could stick it together with a hot glue gun.
Cut out all the bits, fold them into shape and glue or tape together.
Take the underside parts - a head, the mid body and a back. Poke wire through the sides and make it into a loop.

Take three lengths of wire and bend into leg shapes. I used one piece of wire for each set of legs.
Add some more cardboard to the inside of the mid body top parts. Create slots so that the midpoint of the legs wires can be inserted into the slots to keep them in place. Make two slots in the back body and one slot on the front body.

Place the legs into the slots and fix in place. I tried to do this with tape, but it was too flimsy so I stuck in some hot glue and taped it too.
Make another u shaped bit of wire for the antennae. Poke it through the top head and tape in place. Tape everything in place. This is the last chance to secure everything before glueing the top and bottom together.
Glue everything together. Add flat circles of cardboard on the head for eyes.
