To make this ant you will need:
A printer
Cardboard
Wire and pliers
Glue ( I used a hot glue gun)
Scissors or craft knife or some other method of cutting cardboard
Tape
Download the pattern from the files below and print them out. Cut out the pattern bits from thick cardboard. When I say thick I mean the corrugated stuff with two sides.

Cut 5 lengths of wire. How long depends on how big you want your legs to be. Shape the wires as shown below. This'll be three sets of legs, one set of antennae and the piece at the bottom will hold the body parts and head together.
Build up the head to level 2, the body to level 1 (no building up required) and the bum to level 5.
On the next level cut out the hatched areas where the wire will sit.
On the next level cut out the hatched areas where the wire will sit.
Glue the wire in place in the track.
Make the cut outs on level 2 of the body. Glue the 3 leg wires into place.
Build up to level 4 on the head. Level 5 has a cut out to fit the antennae in. Poke the antennae through level 6 on the head. and glue it all in place.
Build up all the rest of the layers.
Shape the legs and antennae to suit.
Repeat as required until your ant army is complete.
